National Bank of Ethiopia has recently announced a new policy direction in response to a demand by the Ethiopian Customs Commission.
This policy direction puts restrictions on the frequency of the utilization of bank permits. Hence, importers and exporters are limited to use bank permits only once since November 20, 2023.
