For most of the 20th century, Asakusa was the major entertainment district in Tokyo. The area was heavily damaged by US bombing raids during World War II, particularly the March 1945 firebombing of Tokyo.
Apart from the visit, Mr. Metassebia stayed with the local students and received a hadicraft gift from the students of Mariama School (IIDA CITY, NAGANO, JAPAN) and their name is Tomoco, Kokodo, Atiko and Leo.
