In a celebration of achievements, the Young Lawyers Initiative (YLI) fellows concluded their fellowship program organized by the Metassebia Law Group (MLG) on August 03, 2024 at the Inter-Luxury hotel.
YLI is a flagship initiative of MLG, aimed at empowering young lawyers in Ethiopia and abroad. The program provides a valuable platform for Ethiopian and foreign national law students, as well as junior legal practitioners, to develop their skills and knowledge.
During the fellowship, the YLI fellows participated in a variety of enriching activities, including international seminars, webinar presentations, and the publication of articles on the YLI’s website, “Insight.” Additionally, the fellows engaged in discussions on self-development and assisted in organizing events such as webinars and meetings.
“The YLI fellowship has been a transformative experience for us,” said one of the YLI fellows. “We’ve had the opportunity to learn from industry experts, collaborate with our peers, and contribute to the legal community in meaningful ways. This program has truly empowered us to take the next step in our legal careers.”
The certificate program, held at the Inter-Luxury hotel, was attended by the YLI fellows, distinguished guests, MLG partners, and other individuals, celebrating the successful completion of the fellowship.
“We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our YLI fellows,” said the MLG’s managing partner. “This program is a testament to our commitment to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals in Ethiopia and beyond. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these young lawyers will have on the legal landscape in the years to come.”
The YLI is now a board-led initiative under the MLG and will continue to offer more sessions and opportunities for young lawyers in the future.
